905 Group Sales/Marketing Clerk

  • Description:
    The Group Sales Office Assistants are responsible for answering the telephone to assist callers with all aspects of group sales reservations. This includes explaining the various group sales programs and entering orders into the computer. Additional responsibilities include entering and fulfilling information requests, sorting and processing mail, balancing daily cash receivables and other general office duties. Positions begin in March and run through October. Employees will be hired for various starting dates.
  • Qualifications:
    Must possess excellent communication and organizational skills. Applicant must have a good, clear voice, pleasant personality, be very courteous, honest, reliable, and able to work well with people. Must also be diplomatic and able to remain calm and positive in a fast paced, ever changing work environment. Must be able to handle multiple tasks at once, be a self starter, and be able to work professionally with or without supervision. Typing or data entry and computer skills required.

908 Office Clerk/Data Entry

  • Description:
    Responsibilities include handling guest complaints, cashing checks, measuring children and issuing ride admission policy forms. General office duties, such as typing and filing are also part of this position. Also responsible for maintaining proper communications such as answering telephones, paging, and monitoring weather and ride downtimes. Maintains proper office policies and procedures in a business-like manner, answers telephones and takes concise messages. Responsible for key entry on IBM computer, and record keeping. May works directly with the public. Must be willing to be flexible with work schedule.
  • Qualifications:
    Patient, poised, able to cope with special situations and work well under pressure. Courtesy, alertness, a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly are necessary. Must be well-groomed. Office experience is helpful. Should be able to courteously and tactfully handle guests in both positive and negative situations. It is required that all must be able to read, comprehend and speak the English language.

909 Information Assistant

  • Description:
    Responsible for answering the telephone for both park information calls and requests for free information. Staff answer questions and help guests plan their visit to Cedar Point. All information requests are entered into the computer. Staff also assists in answering e-mail, editing surveys and may conduct guest interviews. Additional duties also include mail preparation and general office duties. Positions begin in late March and run through October. Many positions begin in May. Excellent for Marketing and Tourism majors. May qualify for an internship.
  • Qualifications:
    Employees should have a pleasant personality, be very courteous and have a good, clear voice. Typing or data-entry and computer skills are required. Must be willing to work various shifts between 8:00 a. m. and 8:00 p.m.
