301 Bell Hop

  • Description:
    Responsible for greeting guests, carrying heavy suitcases, and providing guests with information about the hotel and park. Suitcases at times must be carried without the benefit of an elevator. Also responsible for room service, guest transportation, cleaning public spaces, and assisting housekeeping. These employees have direct guest contact so personality, cool-headedness, and a neat appearance are all strong considerations.
  • Qualifications:
    18 years of age. All interested applicants must provide Drivers License # and have a good driving record. Must be able to maintain composure. Neat appearance and good verbal communication skills a must. Pleasant, outgoing personality desired. Must exhibit an interest in working intensely with the public.

302 Concierge

  • Description:
    Assists with group conference center catering set up, as well as assists guests inquiring about on-property or off-property attractions, facilities, services or activities. Works directly with VIP guests, creates fruit baskets and other items. Maintains the concierge inventory and also assists guests with future hotel reservations.

    Must have data entry, computer and/or typing ability. This individual should also possess basic math and or bookkeeping skills. Excellent organizational and communications skills necessary. 303 Employee Housing Supervisor

  • Description:
    • Process and register residents in and out of Employee Housing facilities.
    • Maintain accurate records for proper reporting and accounting, including petty cash fund.
    • React swiftly and calmly to all emergency situations.
    • Enforce all Housing and Cedar Point policies.
    • Maintain security by checking Cedar Point ID's.
    • Register employee guests.
    • Make rounds in facility, checking all floors, hallways and stairwells for anything unusual or contrary to policy.
    • Seek out fire and safety hazards. Correct and report to the Housing Manager.
    • Maintain incident and maintenance logs.
    • Prevent destruction of Cedar Point property.
    • Issue, collect, and exchange linens.
    • Maintain clean workstation and lounge area.
    • Perform any other duties as directed by Housing Manager.

    Supervise residents of Cedar Point Employee Housing and their guests. Maintain order, discipline, and service employee housing facilities through efficient and courteous operation. Maintain good employee relations - but do not permit socializing at duty station. Help Housekeeping to maintain a high standard of cleanliness in and around the housing facility. Maximum dormitory occupancies vary from 200 to 600 residents per facility.

  • Qualifications:
    College RA experience desirable. Show a willingness and ability to work 48 hours a week. Possess the physical stamina to perform assigned duties. Capable of swiftly walking long hallways and up three flights of stairs without difficulty. Possess the ability to hear and respond swiftly in all emergency situations, whether alerted by alarm, voice, or phone. Able to demonstrate pleasant and courteous behavior towards all employees and guests.

304 Grounds Attendant

  • Description:
    Responsible for cleaning campground restrooms, laundry buildings and guest sites. Also responsible for emptying trash containers, assisting in the direction of traffic and picking up paper and debris from the grounds.
  • Qualifications:
    Applicants must be able to lift and carry 30 lbs. and be capable of performing strenuous daily cleaning tasks (i.e. removing stains, sweeping, etc.). An interest in working outdoors is required.

305 Housekeeping Attendant (Hotel/Employee Housing)

  • Description:
    Are responsible for cleaning and making up guest rooms. Are also responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and appearance of hallways and public spaces throughout the hotel.

    Must be capable of lifting and carrying 50 lbs., be physically able to lift mattresses and box springs, and perform strenuous daily cleaning (removing stains, sweeping, etc.).

306 Registration/Reservation Clerk

  • Description:
    Handles all incoming telephone calls and reservations for three hotels, the campground, cabins and condo/a-frames. Assists with information calls including brochure mailings. Records all monies for the reservations? accounting area, as well as performs all general office procedures.

307 Telephone Operator

  • Description:
    Responsible for handling incoming calls to Cedar Point offices, resident employees, and guests at a switchboard. They also provide directory assistance for all personnel.
  • Qualifications:
    Cool-headedness, a pleasant, professional phone voice, courteousness, and a high degree of manual coordination are essential qualities. Computer skills recommended.

900 Auditor

  • Description:
    Conducts audits on food location registers and register tapes checking for discrepancies. On occasion will do actual location cash counts. Responsible for accurate reports on findings. Also will make location and employee observations and buying tests. Performs audits on restaurant guest checks, minor employee breaks, reviews invoices & inventory controls.Staff Auditors are involved in planning, performing, and reporting on financial and operational audits at the park, under the direction of the Internal Audit Manager. The position offers the chance to acquire a great deal of audit, accounting, and business experience, while working in a fun and professional atmosphere. You?ll benefit from exposure to all levels of company management and to the daily operations of our company. Assignments include mid-year audit analysis for our ?Big 4? external public accountants, testing the controls of various park operating cycles (Revenue, Cash, Accounting and Computer Systems, Payroll, Purchasing & Expenditures, Inventory, etc.), Sarbanes/Oxley testing, auditing cash registers at park locations, plus other projects.
  • Qualifications:
    Ability to work independently and follow detailed instruction. Honesty and reliability a must. Experience working with figures, cash registers, and adding machines required. Flexibility to work various hours and assist in other positions as business warrants. Accounting background preferred.No audit experience is necessary, as training and guidance will be provided during the internship. Staff auditors must be highly motivated and able to work professionally with and without supervision. Excellent communication skills are necessary, as you?ll interact with top management on a regular basis and write reports for all audit work performed. Auditors must be willing to work approximately 48 hours per week, with one or two weekdays off and varying daily work schedules. Professional attire is necessary. Due to the various locations of audit sites in the park, auditors walk a great deal throughout the park each day. Candidates should be Accounting or Finance majors, have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 and have completed a basic accounting course before internship begins. Audit internships are also available at some of the other Cedar Fair parks.

903 Courtesy Car Driver

  • Description:
    Responsible for transporting guests to and from various locations on the Cedar Point peninsula. In addition, drivers are responsible for providing guests with park information and other topics of interest. These employees have direct guest contact so personality, cool-headedness, and a neat appearance are all strong considerations. Drivers will sometimes perform bellhop duties.

904 Department Trainer

  • Description:
    Assists in the development and/or implementation of company/departmental training programs for seasonal employees. May be responsible for facilitating training classes, training location employees. Duties may also include data entry and general filing.
  • Qualifications:
    Possess a high level of organizational, communication (verbal/written), and time management skills. Must have supervisory skills and the ability to speak in front of audiences. Previous training experience helpful. One or more years of Cedar Point work experience is preferred. Must exhibit tact, style, and grooming consistent with company image.

908 Office Clerk/Data Entry

  • Description:
    Responsibilities include handling guest complaints, cashing checks, measuring children and issuing ride admission policy forms. General office duties, such as typing and filing are also part of this position. Also responsible for maintaining proper communications such as answering telephones, paging, and monitoring weather and ride downtimes. Maintains proper office policies and procedures in a business-like manner, answers telephones and takes concise messages. Responsible for key entry on IBM computer, and record keeping. May works directly with the public. Must be willing to be flexible with work schedule.
  • Qualifications:
    Patient, poised, able to cope with special situations and work well under pressure. Courtesy, alertness, a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly are necessary. Must be well-groomed. Office experience is helpful. Should be able to courteously and tactfully handle guests in both positive and negative situations. It is required that all must be able to read, comprehend and speak the English language.
