501 Crafts (Blacksmith, Wood Carver, Glass Blower, Candle Maker)

  • Description:
    Single positions are available in these areas:

    Candlemaker, Blacksmith, Woodcarver, Glassblower - four positions.

    Demonstrates and describes to the guest what procedures are taking place in the production of the craft item. Produces the finished product within a relatively short period of time. Maintains enough finished merchandise to adequately display the sales area. Craft areas are in a frontier setting. Not all the equipment is modern to preserve authenticity of the frontier atmosphere.

  • Qualifications:
    Must have at least one year experience. Must be a showman as they are required to entertain the guests with a verbal demonstration of the craft. Interested applicants should submit photos, slides, and/or samples and be prepared for a second interview.

502 Ride Photo/Old Time Photo Associates

  • Description:
    Employees are responsible for selling photos to guests as they come off of roller coasters. They are also responsible for accurate cash handling, speaking over a microphone, and for monitoring photos of riders for inappropriate pictures and disposing of those properly. 
  • Qualifications:
    Must be willing to interact one on one with guests in a fast paced environment.  Employees must be willing to talk on a microphone.  Previous photography experience not necessary.  Must have previous cash handling experience or be comfortable handling money.  Must be willing to work in all weather conditions.

503 Cashier/Shop Assistant

  • Description:
    Responsible for accurately running cash registers, restocking and maintaining a clean and orderly shop. In some locations associates are responsible for ordering merchandise each day from the warehouse. Merchandise received from the warehouse must be accurately checked-in each day. Displays must be re-worked periodically during the season, so imaginative associates are needed. Associates will also be responsible and assist in the taking of inventories throughout the season.
  • Qualifications:
    Some locations such as the Trail shops and small one-person shops require very independent associates willing to take responsibility. The larger shops require that associates be able to adjust to working with other employees and be able to work in a fast paced environment. Must be able to handle money.

900 Auditor

  • Description:
    Conducts audits on food location registers and register tapes checking for discrepancies. On occasion will do actual location cash counts. Responsible for accurate reports on findings. Also will make location and employee observations and buying tests. Performs audits on restaurant guest checks, minor employee breaks, reviews invoices & inventory controls.Staff Auditors are involved in planning, performing, and reporting on financial and operational audits at the park, under the direction of the Internal Audit Manager. The position offers the chance to acquire a great deal of audit, accounting, and business experience, while working in a fun and professional atmosphere. You?ll benefit from exposure to all levels of company management and to the daily operations of our company. Assignments include mid-year audit analysis for our ?Big 4? external public accountants, testing the controls of various park operating cycles (Revenue, Cash, Accounting and Computer Systems, Payroll, Purchasing & Expenditures, Inventory, etc.), Sarbanes/Oxley testing, auditing cash registers at park locations, plus other projects.
  • Qualifications:
    Ability to work independently and follow detailed instruction. Honesty and reliability a must. Experience working with figures, cash registers, and adding machines required. Flexibility to work various hours and assist in other positions as business warrants. Accounting background preferred.No audit experience is necessary, as training and guidance will be provided during the internship. Staff auditors must be highly motivated and able to work professionally with and without supervision. Excellent communication skills are necessary, as you?ll interact with top management on a regular basis and write reports for all audit work performed. Auditors must be willing to work approximately 48 hours per week, with one or two weekdays off and varying daily work schedules. Professional attire is necessary. Due to the various locations of audit sites in the park, auditors walk a great deal throughout the park each day. Candidates should be Accounting or Finance majors, have a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0 and have completed a basic accounting course before internship begins. Audit internships are also available at some of the other Cedar Fair parks.

904 Department Trainer

  • Description:
    Assists in the development and/or implementation of company/departmental training programs for seasonal employees. May be responsible for facilitating training classes, training location employees. Duties may also include data entry and general filing.
  • Qualifications:
    Possess a high level of organizational, communication (verbal/written), and time management skills. Must have supervisory skills and the ability to speak in front of audiences. Previous training experience helpful. One or more years of Cedar Point work experience is preferred. Must exhibit tact, style, and grooming consistent with company image.

908 Office Clerk/Data Entry

  • Description:
    Responsibilities include handling guest complaints, cashing checks, measuring children and issuing ride admission policy forms. General office duties, such as typing and filing are also part of this position. Also responsible for maintaining proper communications such as answering telephones, paging, and monitoring weather and ride downtimes. Maintains proper office policies and procedures in a business-like manner, answers telephones and takes concise messages. Responsible for key entry on IBM computer, and record keeping. May works directly with the public. Must be willing to be flexible with work schedule.
  • Qualifications:
    Patient, poised, able to cope with special situations and work well under pressure. Courtesy, alertness, a positive attitude and the ability to learn quickly are necessary. Must be well-groomed. Office experience is helpful. Should be able to courteously and tactfully handle guests in both positive and negative situations. It is required that all must be able to read, comprehend and speak the English language.

912 Warehouse Attendant

  • Description:
    Delivers products to locations throughout the park. Unloads delivery trucks and places food, beverages, paper supplies, etc. in proper storage areas. Follows safe driving procedures while using company vehicles. Performs miscellaneous jobs relating to Warehouse operation, such as cleaning of location and vehicles. Hours vary.
  • Qualifications:
    Able to work shifts as early as 6:00 a.m. or as late as 2:00 a.m. Must have a valid driver's license and vehicle insurance. Ability to handle heavy lifting and carrying (approx. 75 lbs.), pushing 2-wheel and 4-wheel carts containing heavy loads (over 100 lbs.). Must be able to withstand below zero degree temperatures for long periods of time when working in the freezers while wearing provided protective clothing. Must maintain a well-groomed appearance at all times. Honesty, reliability, and common sense a must. Experience preferred. Tow motor operator's license preferred. Flexibility to work various hours and assist in other positions as business warrants.
